Recipe Bardstown sling  (original version)

Ingredients

·        1¾ oz bourbon

·        1 oz triple sec

·        1 oz cranberry juice cocktail

·        juice of ½ lime (or less, if too tart)

Direction

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Bourbon, lemon juice, triple sec and stir just long enough to chill the liquid and combine ingredients. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with a slice of orange or a lemon wedge.

Experiment: You can also try ¾ Cointreau and 1 ½ bourbon. It will be less sweaty and will have little bit large dose of bourbon.

You can also have old fashioned Bardstown 

Ingredients

·         2 oz bourbon (McKenna)

·         ½–¾ oz Cointreau

·         ½–¾ oz straight cranberry juice (not cranberry cocktail)

Direction

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add Bourbon, Cointreau, and straight cranberry juice. stir just long enough to chill the liquid and combine ingredients. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with a slice of orange or a lemon wedge.
